AV7254002 - 1/72 GLOSTER JAVELIN FAW 9 XH897 PRESERVED DUXFORD
The Javelin is a twin-engined, all-weather interceptor aircraft that served with the RAF from the mid-1950s until the late 1960s. A T-tailed, delta-wing aircraft designed for day and night operations, it was the last aircraft design to bear the Gloster name. Introduced in 1956, it was eventually succeeded by the English Electric Lightning. The actual aircraft modelled here, in its striking red and white livery, has survived into preservation and can be found today at the Imperial War Museum Duxford, in Cambridgeshire.

Another of the Premium range releases, the model features extra detail, including the option to display the undercarriage deployed, or up when using the sturdy display stand provided. It also comes with armament and drop tanks to fit if desired. The paint finish beautifully recreates that of the real aircraft and the markings are perfectly replicated. Limited edition of 408.
